Françoise Wass-Bowe has been a Tulsa resident since 1981 when her family moved from Gillette, Wyoming. Before launching her career in Real Estate in 1987, Françoise held careers as a Corporate Credit Manager, Administrator of Contracts and a Petroleum Right of Way Specialist. During the 18+ years she spent as a Corporate Credit Manager she acquired her real estate license and began working part-time for Shelby Satterfield. Taking a break from Real Estate, and wanting to pursue a new full-time career, Françoise joined American Airlines as a “First Responder” on the CARE team.
Post 9/11, Françoise learned she would be effected by a massive company downsize. “Instead of letting it keep me down, I used this opportunity to obtain my Master’s degree in Public Health at the University of Oklahoma,” says Françoise. After graduation, she received a call from New York offering her a position working in the “Trenton Black River” formation as an Oil and Gas Landman. Originally, she was informed it would only be a six-month long project, but upon attending a meeting in New York she learned it would take ten years to complete. Not one to turn down an opportunity, she persisted through several project changes, including the Marcellus and Utica Shale projects in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, which continued to be ongoing projects several years later.
After the passing of her late husband, Françoise returned to Tulsa to work for Conoco-Phillips in Bartlesville until late 2015. Since that time, she has decided to give up traveling as a Right of Way specialist to reinvest in her dream of helping people achieve their dreams of owning a home.
Choosing to become a part of the Chinowth & Cohen family was the easiest decision Françoise has ever made. “I believe in old-school values and integrity, while also encompassing new technology with proven results,” says Françoise.
Françoise holds Bachelor degrees in Fine Arts, Business and Masters in Public Health. She was a CASA volunteer for several years and volunteered with Salvation Army, Red Cross and various church ministries. She is a proud member of St. James United Methodist Church where she volunteers with Abundant Rain Feeding Ministry and wherever else she’s needed.
